“Interpretation” is the process by which we transform the silent or tacit preconception to explicit knowledge. In order to solve design issues and to work with others, interpretation is needed. In the natural process of design, considerable explicit knowledge is thus generated. This knowledge often includes valuable data for us to review the design projects or undertake similar projects in the future. Though what we make out of a conversation or by reading or seeing something is totally are own perception, and this perception can vary from person to person. In order to support this, we can see that there many designs of chairs that exist today. Like the word ‘Kursi’ in Persian, Turkish etc. denotes hierarchy, the same can ought to be a throne just like ‘The Peacock Throne’ which depicts power, royalty, wealth etc. and some have a philosophy or just the simple idea of comfort behind them such as the ‘The plantation chair’ or ‘The grass seated chair’. Thus, behind every design we see the relationship of design with perception.
